Pendulums

We stock a variety of pendulums made from both metal (copper/brass) and natural stones (crystals) such as citrine, clear quartz, rose quartz and amethyst. Great for assisting in decision making and divination, as well as beautiful to look at!

PENDULUMS are used as a form of divination to provide simple yes/no answers to questions you phrase. The answers given by the pendulum are generally thought to exist within your subconscious mind and therefore pendulums can be said to link you to your subconscious mind. Pendulums do not predict the future.

A mainstream use of the pendulum is in food testing. Those with food allergies can use the pendulum to determine whether or not a certain food is safe for their consumption.

We also carry the original Rider Waite deck which is a great standard deck. Excellent for beginners as the cards really do tell a story. Many decks are cloned from the Rider Waite Tarot version. Some experienced readers find the deck boring and look to other decks to satisfy their needs. Each to his/her own.

Amethyst Books & Essence is a new unique bookshop in Chilliwack, BC. We offer both new and used books and a variety of natural and distinctive products good for the mind, body & spirit. We are located at 8985 Young Road, mid-town Chilliwack, between Alexander and Chesterfield. Our current hours are 10:30-5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday. Sundays we are closed for a day of rest (but there is no rest!) and Monday is a flex-day (sometimes we are at the store working or the store is open but don't count on it. So...if you are in the area on Monday do drop in but it is likely best not to plan to arrive on a Monday unless you are psychic and just know we are there!).
